We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Denver .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

    The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

After many years of chasing children with a camera and nurturing a long-standing love affair with high school senior photography, her passion took a distinctive left turn into the world of landscapes and wildlife.     Hello ! My name is Alex, originally from El Paso , Texas. I moved to Denver, Colorado to pursue a higher education at Metropolitan State. My focus is on capturing an environment in it's natural state, this landscape photography has allowed me to travel and explore different areas around the world. I have had the pleasure of working with college researchers for a travel guide publication, while also traveling abroad to explore Italy and Greece. Through landscape photography, we can explore the different connections between the various environments in our beautiful ecosystems and how interconnected the biomes interact.

    This first-year female Red-tailed Hawk was spotted on an educational consultation at Rocky Mtn Arsenal. As a young bird she was extremely curious, making several exploratory flybys in-between hunting excursions. On one of these flybys, she gave us the perfect head-on photo opportunity which resulted in the photo you see here. Equipment used: Canon EOS R5 Adapted EF 800mm F5.6L IS USMCamera and lens mounted on a monopod.

    This is composite shot of the full Snow Moon Rise on 2/24/24. I combined my landscape city shot with my moon shot and the moon placement is accurate for this evening. The skies cooperated this evening providing a nice clear sky for the initial moonrise. Moon photography is challenging but SO rewarding when you?re able to capture such beauty.     Coming from Georgia, a place that never snows, it was one of my biggest goals this year to get this shot of the balanced rock during a snow storm. It was such a great experience. There?s nothing quite like waking up at 3 am and getting out to your scene and just waiting for your ideal shot. I waited for the snow plow to come by to help with the leading line, and I snapped this shot. One of my favorite images to date.

    This photo was taken using my DJI MINI 3 Pro. I was coming back from Keystone driving down Loveland pass on Monday the 22nd around 11am. It was a cold and moody morning and lighting was quite flat. I took this opportunity to shoot an image that later I could dramatize in post editing . I dropped my shadows a bit and increased my contrast along with a small mask in the sky to give it a more dramatic effect.Thanks for sharing this image! Ps: ignore the file name, it was from my last

    While visiting Cannon Beach, Oregon for Spring Break this year, we were treated to beautiful blue skies, warm weather, stars AND airglow at night! I was absolutely giddy about seeing those stars! Now I hope you all know how extremely rare this combination is on the pacific coast in spring. It's normally overcast and raining and definitely no stars to be seen.     to create this I used a piece of Teal vinyl for the backdrop, I had the camera, with a 30 mm Marco lens on a tripod set to manual focus, with focus staking of 10 shots I only used 5 in the end). for lighting I had two static lights on mini stands so I could play about with their placement to get the effect I was looking for. The dandelion seed was held in place, by putting it into a piece of white tack, I then sprayed it using a little electronic face atomiser (bought from Amazon) and loa

    Decided to make a composite that resembles the photo that NASA took with their millions of dolllar photo equipment. 2 months ago I photographed the full moon and placed it on top of the most recent solar eclipse photo I took. The moon normally get its light from the sun so getting the perspective with moon visibility is impossible during an eclipse unless you have nasa gear. My photo was taken with a canon R5, RF400mm F2.8 and cropped in.
