Michelle was a top-notch presenter and was highly knowledgeable on the subject matter. As a newbie to Lightroom but not to Photoshop and Nikon NX, she showed me why I should be using Lightroom, which I avoided in the past because I thought the learning curve was too steep to learn by myself.

The instructor, Michelle, did a good job even though she had to rush through the Lightroom panels because we spent a lot of time on more basic aspects of Lightroom. It is not her fault, it?s ours. We needed help on organization that the program provides and we all benefitted. But that is something for a lower-level course in more basic Lightroom capabilities. She did an excellent job of explaining the program and its capabilities regarding organization. Other areas, however, were given short shrift, however. Her explanation of other aspects of LR were good and helpful as well, and I learned a lot. Her final discussion of how we might benefit from PPC and other groups was excellent and much appreciated by us all.

    PHOTOGRAPHERS
    Curtis Finger
Curtis Finger has been doing photography for the past 40 years of his life and have explored many different aspects of it. When he was 8 years old he learned how to use a 35mm SLR film camera. By the time he was 12 he was printing images in the darkroom and by 17 was starting to use Photoshop. He has worked in professional photography labs and have assisted an array of well established photographers. When he's not working on a commercial photography job you can typically find him out on a hiking trail, photographing with an infrared camera creating dramatic black and white landscapes. For some reason he can't seem to put the camera down. Must be the adventure of it all.

I currently specialize in commercial architecture, portraiture and event photography.

The day this photo was taken I did not want to go outside. Life was not being kind to me and I didn't want to participate in it. A good friend got me outside to hike anyway. As we climbed the mountain we were treated to some astonishing views. I wanted to capture how it felt in that moment to be looking out from the rocky outcropping we had climbed to. Captured using infrared, I think this picture does that feeling justice and it reminds me that life is always worth living.

The skies cooperated this evening providing a nice clear sky for the initial moonrise. Moon photography is challenging but SO rewarding when you?re able to capture such beauty.
